Empath : Next Legion INT Hero

Empath, the first hero of the new year, can feel your anticipation and will be joining the Legion's fight against the Hellbourne very soon. "

As long as the content not changed in the time when vol.6 newsletter released.

Note : That page contain no pictures(Empath artwork and all pictures) and it can be changed by S2Games itself by their rights.

What can we got there is Empath will be from Legion and this week we got Crustacean Kraken Alt.Hero Avatar guys.

And when I typed in google about " Empath Heroes of Newerth" .I found that someone in forums and Dream already make their hero suggestion named Empath, see it here : http://bit.ly/gV4pSy .So is that Empath's idea came from?
We still have to wait until next week guys.

 Some design happenings for today and yesterday...
  1. We settled on the hero we're doing after Empath. Well, it's either after Empath, or after the hero after Empath. [S2]DivA and I played the new hero a few times in a 1v1 mid setting. It's going to be a very unique hero in terms of role and playstyle, so it'll be interesting to see community reaction on release.
  2. Empath's code was completed today, but as of my writing, has yet to be committed and tested. This unfortunately means we won't be able to put Empath out this week. The reason she's needed this code, however, is because her ultimate is doing something no other heroes in HoN or DotA can do. It'll be worth it in the end!
  3. We had competitors give us a general survey of the state of the game in terms of heroes. A lot of really interesting, and often surprising, data came from it. We're going to use this data to build that alignment patch that [S2]DivA mentioned in his thread here: http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=208812 When it finally comes, the changelog will be huge.
  4. Scout buff!?

    Community Alt Avatar Contest

    Over the past few weeks, we've seen an excellent response to the new Alt Avatars. We've also seen a number of amazing ideas for them. That's why we are hosting the first Community Designed Alt Avatar Contest! The rules are simple: give us your best idea for a new Alt Avatar for the hero of your choosing, we'll lower it down to the top 5, and the community will vote for which one they would like to have added to the game.

    The winner will have his/her Alt Avatar added to the game, will be given their Alt Avatar for free, and will be rewarded with 1,000 Goblin Coins to spend in the Store!


    We ask that you do not submit any copyrighted material and that you only submit one idea. If you submit more than one, you will be disqualified.


    Submission judging will begin as soon as we feel there are enough entries to judge- in other words, don't wait too long to submit your idea!

    Best of luck to everyone! We look forward to seeing all of your creative ideas!

    EDIT: Please submit your ideas in this thread. You can use any method you would like- written description, art, etc. We are looking for the Alt Avatar concept, but it's always good to show off your idea the best you can .
