Levels 17-25: Stats

Being harassed in early game is the main problem for agility hero with melee range like TB or Mortred. While Mortred has her Stifling Dagger, Terrorblade has Soul Steal. Soul Steal can be used for getting a first blood if he has a stunner partner since Soul Steal is no longer a channeling spell. Cast Soul Steal, stun, hits (either in melee mode or metamorph mode), and then try to get your first blood.

Conjure image is not an effective skill in early minutes since it needs good item having any effect or lots of stats to make it useful. Sunder will be useful at level 6 for killing his enemy if he has enough mana to cast it and Soul Steal and also Metamorphosis if possible.

Terrorblade Item Build

1. Quelling Blade + Ring of Protection + Tangos / Sobi Mask + Soul Ring Recipe + Tangos + Clarity Potion
2. Finish Ring of Basilius / Finish Soul Ring + Quelling blade
3. Power Tread
4. Wraith Band (optional)
5. Sange / Yasha
6. Finish Sange and Yasha

Your core item should be like this:

Quelling Blade is necessary for gathering gold in melee mode. Ring of Basilius / Soul Ring (recommended) keep his mana from draining faster so he can cast Soul Steal and Sunder to keep his soul alive. That is the reason why this hero is called Soul Keeper. You can also use his mana to push the tower in Metamorph mode with Conjure Image.

Power Thread make him gathering gold more effective by move back and forth either between enemy's creep and neutral creep or among neutral creeps. As an alternative, power thread can make him to clear the way faster so he can destroy the first tower as soon as possible or to get the first blood with help from his partner.

Sange and Yasha is very useful for chasing his enemy. The movement speed bonus and the maim effect will make his enemies harder to run away.

Late Game Items

+ + + +

Monkey King Bar is used to prevent his enemy from running away with Town Portal or Boots of Travel and also to make his attack never miss while facing hero with active or passive evasion ability.

The Butterfly is used to increase his attack speed and attack damage. Also to create evasion ability which is necessary for facing hero with high attack speed and/or attack speed. Buriza-do Kyanon make his attack more powerful with high damage and 20% chance 2.4 critical strike.

With Assault Cuirass, he can kill his enemy faster and become harder to die caused by high armor. In the very long game, mobility is more important than attack speed. So he need to drop his power tread and purchase Boots of Travel to achieve victory, especially if backdoor is wanted.

Terrorblade Strategy

You should pick this hero when you got nice line up for your team. This hero needs protection from sudden attack/gank as he doesn't have reliable escape mechanism. You also need an initiator/stunner/slower to help you land attack to your enemies. You should not pick this hero when there are 2 or more carry heroes in your team. A team should be balanced between tanker, carry hero and support hero.

In early minutes, you should put him in the Scourge top lane or Sentinel bottom lane where you can pull natural creeps. Keep farming and finish your Soul Ring. Once you got your Soul Ring, you can jungling until you complete his core items. If you lack of HP/MP, just use Soul Ring and immediately use Soul Steal to replenish both your HP and MP. As an alternative, if you have stunner partner, you can kill/harass your lane enemies, with just Soul Steal and common attack (and may be Metamorphosis). When you choose jungling mode, you should always look at mini map. Observer wards may be little help, buy them or have your partner buy them.

When you're ready for a big war, always use Metamorphosis beforehand and make as many images as possible. Don't forget, your role is the carry. There are 3 kinds of strategy when entering a clash:
1. Stay away from your team so you are safe from opening attack done by your enemies. Then kill your enemies one by one.
2. If your team have succeed landed an opening attack before enemies do, follow up them by strike your enemies as soon as possible.
3. Let you take an opening attack done by your enemy, but don't let you die so easily. Cast sunder as soon as possible after you take it if your hp almost empty. Then counter attack your enemies together with your team. Do this only when you know they doesn't have too many stun and your friend already prepared to back you up. If they stun-lock you, you won't be able to do anything until you die.

If your team try to push the 3rd towers and your enemies have good defend, the deadlock will happen. In this situation, you can use Conjure Image to attack the towers.

The same also apply if you already reach late game and your team having difficulties to push the tower. Teleport using Travel into creep that is nearest the enemies tower and quickly Metamorphosis + Conjure Image. If your enemies reaction is not fast enough, you can get one or two tower using this method.
